What qualifications are required?
An understanding of ISO 9001 & IMO’s ISM Code is beneficial but not
essential. However, in order to conduct Assessments against the above
criteria, IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors) and IMO,
have defined qualifications for Auditors/Assessors and by attending this
unique Course dual qualifications are obtained. Information regarding these
requirements will be explained during the Course. Previous attendance of the
Ferriby Marine Internal Auditor Course would be beneficial but not
essential.

Interpret and understand ISO 9001:2000 including the relationships with ISO
14001, and OH&S.
Understand the basis and needs for Management Systems and how they will help

Plan, perform and report on audits relating to ISO 9001:2008

Assist Management to improve operational performance and profits.
Gain qualifications as a Lead Auditor/Assessor of ISO 9001:2008.
