1 Day Familiarisation Course

Who should attend?

Vessel Owners, Charterers, Bareboat / Demise Charterers and other disponent owners, ships masters, crew, officers, Operations Managers.

What qualifications are required?

No qualifications are required, but it is advised that all candidates who wish to undertake the course, do some research into the convention as there is a substantial amount of material to get through.


How many can attend?

Attendance is limited to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 delegates per course.

3&5 Day Lead Inspector Course

Who should attend?

Personnel who are involved in the auditing, maintenance and management of vessels. Maritime Auditors, Surveyors or anybody else who requires a comprehensive knowledge of the ILO MLC 2006.

What qualifications are required?

No qualifications are required for the 5 day course but an existing Lead Auditor qualification is required for the 3 day transition course, however it is advised that all candidates who wish to undertake the course, do some research into the Convention as there is a substantial amount of material to get through.

How many can attend?

Attendance is limited to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 delegates per course.

Main topics

An introduction in to the MLC 2006.

Types of Audit – 1st, 2nd and 3rd Party fully explained with practical Case Studies.

Auditing Techniques: Planning – Preparation – Performance – Reporting and Follow-up Close Outs.

Writing Audit Findings as Audit Reports including accidents, incidents and hazardous occurrences.

Corrective and Preventive Action and being able to identify Major, Minor and Observations.

Interactive training, combining Lectures with practical application of the techniques and requirements in Team Role-play Scenarios.
